The Greece Central School District says Superintendent Barbara Deane-Williams has met with a parent whose Facebook post triggered an investigation into a teacher's use of crude language during class.
A statement from the district says Deane-Williams thanked the mother for bringing her concerns to light. The district says there was no discussion of personnel issues relating to the teacher's resignation yesterday.
The teacher wrote an obscenity on the whiteboard during a word excercise in an American Sign Language class. When a photo taken by one of the students was posted on Facebook it resulted in a district investigation and the teacher decided to resign.
