Henrietta N.Y.- The Henrietta Town Board passed a resolution Wednesday night declaring their opposition against a proposed casino.
The news was greeted by a standing ovation by most of the crowd in attendance. The Seneca Indian Nation recently bought 32 acres of land on Clay Road as a potential development site.
The board's decision sends a message , but Town Supervisor Jack Moore admitted the town doesn't have the power to stop the proposed casino. The U.S. Secretary of the Interior has the final say on casinos, as long as the governor of the state involved supports the decision
