A hiker fell to his death yesterday evening (Sat.) in Wyoming County after losing his footing in a ravine.
State Police and the Wyoming County Sheriff's Office say the incident happened off Falls Road in Sheldon. Stephen Wagner of Sheldon was hiking with a friend when he fall about 150 feet into a gorge and landed in the creek below.
The Sheldon Volunteer Fire Department and the Wyoming County Rescue Team responded but apparently the victim was dead at the scene.
Police say they don't have further details at this time.
