Rochester N.Y.- Hundreds turned out at the Charlotte Community Association meeting Monday night to talk about plans for a major, multimillion dollar re-development at the Port of Rochester.

Rochester Mayor Lovely Warren has signed off on a $70 million proposal from a Michigan developer, which would see a high rise hotel and retail space along the waterfront. The project is also to include low income housing.

Many there last night are not happy with the idea of high rise buildings going up as part of the project.

Another meeting to discuss the project will take place on Thursday night.
