After some Garbage Plate and weather comments, commencement speaker Chris Matthews got down to business at the University of Rochester's 164th commencement ceremony, by telling graduates that their job from now on his to find their passion and chase it in a way that's productive and also makes them happy.
The MSNBC talk host said people only truly believe what they discover for yourselves, so those who don't already know their passion should grab hold of opportunities to learn new things. He also said it's not necessarily a bad thing not to know your future course when you leave college.
Matthews says he found his passion for government and then reporting on government through the Peace Corps. It also opened doors when he went to look for his first job on Capital Hill. He told the graduates that's an example and by no means the only one of what he's talking about.
