An Ontario County mother and son are in jail after more than $1,800 worth of prescription narcotics was stolen from a drugstore in Farmington.
The Ontario County Sheriff's Office says Jacob Moore of Farmington and his mother, Heidi Stumbo of Lima, were both involved in the robbery of the CVS in Farmington last week. They say Moore forced his way behind the counter and stole Oxycodone pills.
Investigators located Moore at a motel across from the CVS. They found the stolen pills and enough evidence to charge him with the robbery and drug possession. They also found Moore's mother had picked him up soon after the robbery and helped him stash the drugs beside a highway. She's charged with drug possession.
Both were denied bail.
