A Rochester man is in jail after trying to slug it out with State Troopers during a traffic stop early Wednesday morning.

State Police say they tried to stop Donald Hoskins for multiple traffic violations just off the Inner Loop on Scio Street just past 1:00 this morning. Hoskins at first stopped his car, but then sped away as troopers approached.

They chased him to Sherer Street, where troopers say Hoskins stopped, got out of his car and "became combative." He was arrested after a brief struggle and charged with half-a-dozen violations including drunken driving, driving without a license and marijuana possession.
