'House of Cards' Actor Says Fans Won't Miss Kevin Spacey

One of the newest cast members of House of Cards said Kevin Spacey will not be missed when the sixth and final season of political drama hits Netflix. Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Cody Fern said that the show has been about Spacey's on-screen wife Claire Underwood, played by Robin Wright, since season two.

Listen, everyone is just so thrilled to be supporting Robin [Wright], and I think that she is a powerhouse, and it's been about Robin since season two, and anyone who's in denial of that hasn't been watching the show.

Spacey was fired from the show after multiple allegations of sexual assault. He was accused of making an advance on Anthony Rapp when he was only 14-years-old. The show was initially canceled, but Netflix decided to continue the show and the final season was reworked without Spacey's character. Fans are curious to see how the show will deal with the departure of its star, but nobody on set is spilling any secrets.

Cody Fern explained that it is tough for cast members to leak information because they are kept in the dark until they start filming.

I can't tease you with anything, only because it's so under wraps!” Fern adds. “It's even under wraps for the cast. We find out right before we're shooting what's happening. So, everything is a surprise and it's, every moment in House of Cards is anew. I will tell you, I work with everybody in the show, so my character gets to do a lot of backflips.

Not much is known about Fern's character, but he said that he will be playing a bad guy.

“No one's a good guy on this show!” he notes. “No one. Uh... that's what I can tell you.”

House of Cards is set to return in the fall for a sixth and final season.
