'Dumplin' Trailer: See Jennifer Aniston As A Sassy Former Beauty Queen

Who knew Jennifer Aniston was born to play a sassy former beauty queen? Netflix just dropped the first official trailer for Dumplin' and the 49-year-old actress steals the spotlight as sequins-clad Rosie Dickson.

The film is based on the Young Adult novel of the same name, written by Julie Murphy. The movie follows Willowdean 'Dumplin' Dickson, the plus-size teenage daughter of a former beauty queen, as she signs up for her mom's Miss Teen Bluebonnet pageant as a protest. Her singular gesture quickly escalates when other contestants follow her footsteps, revolutionizing the pageant and their small Texas town.

"Bein’ a bit of a celebrity around here meant that she was a little too busy for me," Willowdean narrates in the trailer. "And that’s when I decided enough was enough."

Dumplin' will also feature six Dolly Parton songs, which will feature heavily throughout the film. The trailer itself references Parton on a number of occasions, including when Willowdean visits a Dolly Parton inspired drag bar. The famed country music star made headlines a few months ago when she partnered with Sia for a cover of her classic song "Here I Am" for the upcoming film. Jennifer Aniston and Dolly Parton? Dumplin' really has it all.

Dumplin' hits Netflix on Friday, Dec. 7th. Who's excited?
