Katy Perry has come a long way in her personal growth and part of the credit is due to her fiancé Orlando Bloom.
In her recent cover story with Vogue, Perry, 35, said that Bloom, 42, was able to help her around the time that Witness was met with a plague of poor press between 2017 and 2018. "I became depressed and I did not want to get out of bed. In the past, I had been able to overcome it, but this time something happened that made me fall down too many flights of stairs," she told the magazine. "I had to really go on a mental health journey."
Perry went on to cite several recovery methods that she attempted to work on herself. "I’ve gone to therapy, been through the Hoffman Process, done plant medicine," she explained. "And I have a partner who is also all about finding a balance – Orlando, who is on a spiritual journey of his own. He’s an anchor who holds me down, and he’s very real. He’s not the number one fan of Katy Perry, but he’s the number one fan of Katheryn Hudson."
"Orlando is like a sage. When we first met, he said we would pull the poison out of each other, and we really do," she explained. "It's exhausting, but we really hold each other accountable."
At the end of 2019, word spread that Perry and Bloom's December wedding had been postponed. "They changed the timing due to the location they want. They're beyond in love," an insider admitted to Us Weekly, adding that the couple are enjoying the process of planning, but have two celebrations in mind. "They’re going to have one local wedding party, and the other will be a destination wedding party."
