Itâs official: Clare Crawleyâs season of The Bachelorette is âbonkers.â Host Chris Harrison shared all the deets and then some during a Zoom interview with Ryan Seacrest on-air on Tuesday, October 13.
âClare has certainly set in motion things that we have never dealt with before on this show and thatâs saying a lot considering I have seen what I have seen in 18 years,â Chris teased ahead of tonightâs premiere. âIt is absolutely bonkers. I know thereâs lots of rumors and lots of stuff flying around and I think people have this idea of what happens, [but] you donât.â
Chris added his first emotion once it all unfolded while filming was: âOh my God, what are we going to do with this?â
The executive producer continued that throughout the years, theyâve honored Bachelor Nation and fans by really playing out what happens and this season, in particular, weâll truly see it all.
âHonestly, the great thing about our show the last few years if youâve noticed, if youâre a real fan, is that weâve really leaned into it, embracing everything: the good, the bad, the ugly,â he added. âJust really made it organic. I think Bachelor Nation and our viewers are so savvy now they really demand that so this season we really have leaned into it. Youâre going to see everything, warts and all. I think because of the COVID, pandemic bubble it really helped us capture everything because we werenât traveling. We werenât on the road. We were stuck in one place. We had cameras rolling nonstop so youâre really going to see things that normally behind-the-scenes you wouldnât be privy to.â
And he's back in that quarantine bubble, this time for the first-ever Black Bachelor Matt Jamesâ season.
âI canât tell you where I am, but I am far from the desert,â he teased of Jamesâ secret Bachelor set location, referring to Clareâs season which was filmed at La Quinta in Palm Desert. âLook, fall colors,â he added, moving his Zoom camera angle. âI will tell you this: Thereâs seasons here. Thereâs weather and seasons, itâs very strange.â
