Man, Woman Accused Of Stealing $3,000 Worth Of Construction Tools

A man and woman are accused of stealing $3,000 worth of construction tools in Upstate New York.

James L. Salvo, 49, of Gerling Street, and Amie L. Sorey, 44, of North College Street, were both charged with grand larceny in the third degree, according to a Saratoga County Sheriff's Office press release shared on the department's Facebook account.

Salvo and Sorey were arrested following a lengthy investigation into an incident that took place at the Singlecut Brewery on 6 Fairchild Square in the Town of Clifton Park on September 13, 2020. The two suspects reportedly entered a construction trailer located at the location of the tap room and stole numerous construction tools valued at more than $3,000.

Salvo and Sorey were arraigned before the Town of Clifton Park Court, according to the press release. Salvo was transported to the Fulton County Correctional Facility, where he is currently been held on other unrelated charges.

Salvo was transported to the Saratoga County Jail. The investigation into Salvo and Sorey's involvement in the grand larceny case was lead by Investigator George R. Maxfield of the Saratoga County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigations Unit, according to the press release.

No additional details have been made public as of Wednesday (December 9) afternoon.
