Ben Affleck recently made an appearance at Tiffany's and that has folks pondering one question: Is he about to propose to Jennifer Lopez again?
As per photos obtained by Page Six, the actor was spotted at the location at the Westfield Century City mall in Century City, California with his mother, Christopher Anne Boldt, and all three kids – Violet, 15, Seraphina, 12, and Samuel. While the celebrity gossip outlet had no other insider scoop, the images did that talking as Affleck donned his mask to browse engagement rings at the jewelry store with a pen and paper in hand for some notetaking.
As we previously reported, Affleck proposed to Lopez in 2002 with a 6.1-carat pink diamond engagement ring from Harry Winston. Page Six Style's go-to diamond expert revealed that the sparkler, which was estimated to be worth $2.5 million in the early 2000s, could be worth so much more today. Mike Fried, CEO of The Diamond Pro admitted that his company sells similar rings in the $11 million ballpark. "Our fancy color partner has created similar rings to J.Lo’s, most recently two years ago," Fried explained. "The cost was roughly $10 million. I’d imagine the price of her ring would be closer to $11 million today."
Back in 2002, Lopez recalled the moment that Affleck gave her the ring, emphasizing its uniqueness. “He was like, ‘I just wanted you to have something that nobody else would have,'" she said in an interview with Diane Sawyer, deeming the piece "the most magnificent thing [she’s] ever seen." She reportedly never returned the ring and is still in possession of the sparkler, according to her former publicist, Robert Shuter.
In the meantime, Affleck and Lopez continue to spend time together (with and without company), before the two head into their busy fall schedules.
