Kate Beckinsale is hinting at going through something "deeply painful" while addressing comments about her dramatic weight loss.

The Underworld star shared a since-deleted post on social media on Tuesday (July 1) that included several photos of herself wearing bikinis that seemingly sparked a conversation in the comments about her appearance, per Page Six. After a commenter said they "think [she has] a problem," adding, "I think you honestly need help" because she doesn't "look good," Beckinsale appeared to agree with the claims with her own comment.

"Yes I do. I'm going through one of the most deeply painful times of my life. The body keeps the score," she said, referencing the book The Body Keeps the Score: Brain, Mind, and Body in the Healing of Trauma by Bessel van der Kolk.

Beckinsale didn't share any additional details, but she posted a video showing off her slim figure wearing a bikini top, short shorts and platform boots as she walked her dog. She added more photos of her "girls trip with my girls," including snaps with 26-year-old daughter Lily Mo Sheen, but noted in the caption, "this is not an accurate depiction of how life is right now but a brief and precious reprieve from other things for which I am extremely grateful."

While some fans voiced concern for the Serendipity actress, others said that people should stop commenting on her body and talking about her weight because, as one user wrote, "you don't know what's going on in her life."
