Uber Eats is helping to encourage people to support black-owned restaurants by waiving delivery fees for them. And they’re doing it for the rest of 2020. Now when you open the app in a major city, you’ll see a prompt to “support black-owned restaurants” and a list of those you can order from on the app based on your location.
“We know there is no easy solution to the problem we have faced for centuries,” UberEats CEO Dara Khosrowshahi explains in an email to customers. “We also know that we need to devote our time, energy, and resources toward making a difference.”
