Yesterday, at Rotary, we had a Gubernatorial Debate between two candidates not affiliated with either the Republican or the Democrat party. Stephanie Miner, former Mayor of Syracuse, and NYC businessman Larry Sharpe debated on a variety of topics.
I won't say which one of them, but one of them definitely earned my vote yesterday. Here's why that's important: I'm a Democrat and have voted for Andrew Cuomo in the past. Why? Because, as stupid as this sounds, I didn't realize that some of those "other parties that I've never heard of" were running candidates that I agreed with. Yesterday, I saw that. Thank you to Rochester Rotary, Larry Sharpe, and Stephanie Miner for a great educational lunch!
